Tom Hardy's family life is most certainly legendary.
The Mad Max: Fury Road actor got candid about life with his three children, sharing that his 16-year-old son Louis, who he shares with ex-girlfriend Rachel Speed, has plenty of thoughts when it comes to his films—although he won't admit if he actually likes them or not.
"I mean, he wouldn't ever tell me," Tom exclusively told E! News correspondent Will Marfuggi. "He's 16, you know what I mean? He told me what I'm getting right or wrong."
Sometimes, Tom admitted that he doesn't even feel cool enough for his teenager, joking that "the next gen—the 2.0—is designed to be better than you."
"But that doesn't mean he doesn't back me or support me or look out for me," the Legend actor added, "and offer information that's useful in order to be better with what I do."
"It comes from a position of like, 'Look, you know this,'" Tom continued. "He deconstructs what I'm doing like a peer would." (For more from Tom, tune into to E! News tonight, June 10 at 11 p.m.)
It remains to be seen what Louis will think of Tom's latest film, The Bikeriders, which centers on a 1960s motorcycle club. But one thing Tom does know? None of his kids have shown an interest in motorcycles.
"They're too noisy," he explained. "My eldest, his friend hurt his foot really badly—tore his foot off wearing substandard footwear on a bike. So, he's very like, ‘Don't ride bikes.'"
As for his two younger children with wife of 10 years Charlotte Riley? Tom explained, "They're not caught up in the speed thing. Before they heard the engine, they were like, 'No, no.'"
And while the 46-year-old did know his way around a motorbike before taking on his new role, there are times when he's definitely fabricated the special skills section on his resume.
"Of course, I've completely lied about being proficient in certain things in order to get work," he said. "Who doesn't? But you often get found out."
In fact, Tom admitted he lied to director Christopher Nolan about his skiing abilities when making 2010's Inception, meaning the director had to get creative when filming Tom's skiing scenes.
"He put me on skis and strapped me to the back of his Ski-doo," he shared. "I still see in Inception, I was just tied to a Ski-doo at the time."
